Somewhere down the road, my friend Magellan learned that cameras were something to be avoided–so every time I try to take an awesome picture of him, he turns away at the VERY last second.

This was almost the best dog picture ever taken. His head was on my lap, and he was staring up at me so sweetly. Instead, all I got was this:

After about 20 attempts, this is the best I could do:
