Dog of the Day: Jojo from Sacramento SPCA!

***Jojo is not at the shelter. He is in foster care. For information on adopting Jojo, call his foster mom, Kathryn, at (916) 761-9392***

When Jojo first went into foster care, he looked pretty sad. His foster mom thought he might feel better if he had a day at the spa, so off he went for a bath and new hairdo.

Imagine her surprise when the slow moving dog she dropped off came prancing out with his new hairdog. Joey has been prancing since then and has even started playing with toys.

Jojo loves to take walks and jumps for joy when the leash comes out. He is good with cats and appears to be polite with dogs.

Joey has some age related problems. He is deaf, has no teeth and has a heart murmur. But this little guy has endeared himself to many and the SPCA knows there is a family who will welcome him.

Jojo qualifies for the Senior Companion Program. If the adopter is 60 or over, the adoption fee is waived.

This dog has been rated “C” by our behavior evaluation system. This means that the dog will most likely do best with older teenagers and adults.Your individual household and pet experience may influence your decision to adopt a dog that falls outside the recommended letter code as it relates to children who live in, or frequently visit, your home.
