It’s a age-old phenomenon: Some couples have “coupleface” and some dog owners look like their pooch–now, there’s some research behind the bark of “poochface.”A group of researchers claim they can predict what kind of dog a person has based on the physical traits of the owner.
In the study, participants were asked to look at pictures of dog owners and, based on those pictures, they were to guess what kind of dog the person had.
Sixty percent of the time, the participants guessed the correct human/dog pair.
One of the conclusions researchers have drawn from the study is that people often choose dogs that match their own physical traits, such as someone with a muscular build choosing a more muscular breed of dog, or a more petite person picking a smaller dog.
