Jet Blue Takes Dog Travel to New Heights

If you’ve always wanted to take your dog with you on an airplane trip but have never done so, Jet Blue’s new dog-friendly program may be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

The airline recently began its JetPaws in-cabin pet program. For $100 each way, passengers can travel with their pet in the cabin. No more of those stories of pets’ traumatic experiences being stowed away in a plane’s cargo hold.

Jet Blue even offers pet carriers for sale on their Web site that fit under the seats on the plane (sorry, looks like pets don’t get their own seat on the plane, even on Jet Blue).

Another perk: You get two extra point on your frequent flyer account when a pet flies with you.

According to Jet Blue, more than 80,000 pets travel aboard the airline every year.
