More Stores Allowing People to Bring in Their Dogs

Some people may love it, others might hate it, but dogs are more commonly being allowed in malls and stores all over the country.

In fact, some of the stores that allow pets may be surprising: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Tiffany & Co. all allow dogs. Of course, all of stores expect dog owners to not let their pets bother other customers and to clean up any messes their pets make.

Some of the stores still keeping that “Only Service Dogs Allowed” policy are Target, Sears and Staples.

Something else important to keep in mind while taking your pooch to the mall during the holiday shopping season: While some malls may allow dogs in the mall itself, specific stores may have a different policy.

K9 Commentary:

Personally, I’m OK with people bringing their leashed, well-behaved dogs into stores. However, I can’t stand it when people bring or try bringing their pet into restaurants. Fur and food don’t mix!
