Cindy and I recently learned of a great service offered locally (Lane County, Oregon) that provides free pet health services to homeless people.

Pro-Bone-O is a non-profit organization that provides vaccines, pet wellness checkups, and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. They also provide food, leashes and other pet care supplies.

The organization is able to provide these amazing services thanks to all sorts of volunteers, including a number of veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

You can find more information about this great organization at www.proboneo.org.

While this particular organization services areas within Oregon only, there are lots of other great non-profit organizations that would love your help–check within your area and see what you can do to help out!
