Peppi and Cosmo’s owner lost their job and had to downsize to an apartment which didn’t allow small Parson Russell terriers, and as it turns out the 10-year-old dogs were left confused in a kennel at the shelter.

With puppy-hood in the distant past, these two are happiest when they are lying at your feet. Polite and well-mannered, Cosmo and Peppi have mastered all the basic commands and are house, leash and crate trained. These well-informed canines understand the concept behind the dog door and take advantage of this freedom when they are feeling nimble. With a dog toy in their mouth they will whiz through the door flap and race to the yard to play a game of tug. Although their energy spurts don’t last long, they do enjoy a short morning walk followed by a long afternoon nap.

Cosmo and Peppi are the best of friends and must find a home that will welcome two pint-sized dogs into the family. They would do best in a home with older children who will handle their senior physique with care. They prefer to be the only pets.

They are available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Their adoption fee together is just $35 since they are Prime Time dogs. This fee includes the spay and neuter surgery, vaccines, colorful leashes and collars with AHS I.D. tags and a follow-up veterinary exam.
