Pro Baseball Player Injured Breaking Up Dog Fight

Kansas City Royals pitcher Kyle Farnsworth serves as a nice example of what people should NOT do when dealing with dogs that are fighting–he was bitten by one of the dogs after attempting to get between them to break up the fight.

Luckily for Farnsworth, he only had to get four stitches on the index finger of his non-throwing hand, so he won’t miss any playing time (unlike the time in 2004 when he injured his knee kicking an electric fan in the midst of a temper tantrum…this really happened).

Both of the 80+ lb dogs belong to Farnsworth. He says the fight started simply because the two dogs were vying for his attention.
