Seven Indicted In Largest Ever Dog Fighting Ring
More than 350 dogs have been seized in a dog fighting ring that took place in multiple states.
Believed to be the largest-ever dog fighting ring, seven men have so far been indicted from Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri.
Most of the dogs found were pit bulls.
Charges against the men include denying injured and wounded animals medical treatment, as well as killing dogs after fights–many of the dogs were burned so as to hide evidence in case police visited the area.
Various local animal shelters are caring for the dogs seized by police during the raid.
