Dobbins will steal anyone’s heart with his handsome rusty red colored coat, muscular build and charming personality. This robust Rottweiler and Chow mix has a gentle and extremely sweet disposition, and he is waiting for someone to fall in love with him.

Dobbins was found wandering the streets of Phoenix alone, and he was taken to the Arizona Humane Society where he would be safe and have a chance to find a family of his own. This gregarious guy became a favorite amongst the staff members and he won everyone’s heart in seconds. He greets everyone he meets by wiggling his entire body to make up for having a “nub” or docked tail and he wears and ear to ear grin on his square face.

Dobbins is only a year old, and he is enthusiastic and full of fun. Life is one big adventure in his eyes, and he hopes to find a human companion who is just as spontaneous as he is. He has sporadic outbursts of energy in which he will romp, gallop, and bounce around the yard like he is a young puppy. He will need daily exercise and plenty of room in his new yard to run and play.

This strong-willed doggie will need a patient and encouraging coach to teach him the basic commands and also give him a refresher course in house training. He is excited to learn new things, and he is very eager to impress those he loves most.

The whole family is encouraged to come to the shelter and visit with Dobbins to make sure that he blends well into your family. A dog and child introduction is required.

You can adopt Dobbins NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is just $100. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccinations, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a free follow-up veterinary examination.
