Doggie Rescue Facilitator

Earlier this week, a woman brought by some info about an adorable 3-year-old Japanese Chin she is fostering.

Yoshi has white and lemon coloring, is super sweet, and just wants to be petted and loved. His foster mom had saved him from a neglectful home and wants to find him the perfect forever home.

I saw the picture of Yoshi, and read the lengthy description about him, and just for the heck of it, sent a copy to my mom.  I wasn’t sure if she was even ready for another dog since Baby Boy passed away

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pretty surprised when I got a call from my mom on Saturday evening saying that the whole family has shown interest in taking Yoshi.  She’s pretty excited – I think a small lap dog who can be her baby is exactly what she’s looking for right now.

I guess it was just one of those I’m-not-looking-but-if-the-perfect-dog-comes-along-then-that’s-great type of situations…and I can’t be more excited to have Yoshi join my family!  I’m also quite proud of my doggie rescue facilitating skills.

I talked with his foster mom today and it’s pretty much all settled–we’re just trying to work out travel arrangements to get Yoshi from Oregon to Northern California.  But if this means that I can have Yoshi here with me for a little while before we get him to Cali, then so be it!
