Blue Buffalo issued a press release late Friday, October 8 that voluntarily recalled three Blue Buffalo dog food varieties which may contain elevated levels of vitamin D.

The recalled products are all dry dog foods:

Blue Wilderness Chicken Flavor (Dog) in 4.5, 11 and 24lb. bags, with “Best Used By” dates of JUL1211B, JUL1311B, JUL2611Z, JUL2711Z, JUL2811Z

Blue Basics Limited Ingredient Formula Salmon & Potato Recipe (Dog) in 11 and 24lb. bags, with “Best Used By” dates of AUG2111B, AUG2211B

Blue Life Protection Formula Natural Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe Large Breed Adult (Dog) in 30lb. Bags, with “Best Used By” dates of SEP2211P, SEP2311P, OCT2611P.
