I’ve recently discovered a little doggie phenomenon known as the “Encore Poop.”

An encore poop takes place any time a dog squats and poops, walks around for a minute like all is well, then re-squats for a second poop.Usually, round two begins immediately after owner of said dog ties up the previously collected bag of poop.

Pom Pom is a big believer in the encore poop. I’ve gotten two terrific second squats from her in the past couple of days. It’s always a great challenge to attempt to untie the poop bag and try to scoop up the new batch while at the same time trying to, umm…keep stuff from making contact with bare hands/fingers.

I’ve gotten wise to the encore–no more tying up the bag until the final curtain call is complete.
