Dog Escapes Kennel, Crashes Wedding

A 7-year-old Newfoundland Rottweiler mix that had been missing for nearly three weeks, was found after showing up at a wedding reception.

The dog, named Beau, was being been boarded in a kennel by his owners, who were on vacation. Beau managed to find an open gate that led out of the kennel. It was the first time in the 12-year history of the Rochester, NH-based kennel that a dog had escaped.

Beau’s owners cut their trip short in order to come home and search for him–putting up signs, searching the nearby woods and putting up lost dog ads on the Internet.

Ironically, the person tending bar at the reception of the wedding where Beau was found just happened to be the owner of the same kennel from which Beau had escaped.

Another little nugget of irony: Beau’s owners were on vacation celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary when he went missing.
