Today, I was a hero. I know this because when I came home, Casper and Pom Pom ran around the living room in circles, jumped up at me on their hind legs and licked me nonstop.OK, so all I really did was come home from the grocery store–but the great thing about having dogs is that I can be out checking the mail or coming back from winning the Boston Marathon. My little dogs go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs no matter what.

Once the amazing sight of ME coming through the door passes, it’s back to business as usual: Feed us, pet us, pee and poop us.

A small price to pay for 15 seconds of fame.
