Singer/actor Christina Milian is $55,000 lighter in the wallet after she was forced to settle a lawsuit over allegations that her dog attacked an elderly neighbor in 2008.

The 81-year-old neighbor sued Milian in January 2010, two years after one of her dogs escaped her property and allegedly bit the neighbor in the back of his arm.

He received 19 stitches to treat the wound.
