Dog Of The Day: Gozer From Arizona Humane Society!

Scrounging for scraps of food and sleeping behind a dumpster was hardly what Gozer expected when he decided to venture out of his yard and explore. It wasn’t long before he was lost and danger began creeping his way. It was a blatant act of animal cruelty and in the end this helpless dog was shot with a BB gun. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before this tiny little Chihuahua ended up in the arms of an EAMT.

Once he arrived at the Arizona Humane Society, the vets patched Gozer’s wounds and gave him time to make a full recovery in a foster home but he may always walk bow-legged.

No longer interested in unaccompanied escapades around the neighborhood, this 5-year-old pooch is glued to your side and he enjoys lounging on the couch, sitting in the laps of dog lovers and going for car rides. He loves milk bones, small stuffed toys and being held close.

He may need a refresher course in basic training but he is a very clever canine who learns new tricks easily. He hasn’t been around dogs, cats or children and a family introduction is recommended to ensure a good match.

You can adopt Gozer NOW at the Arizona Humane Campus for Compassion, 1521 W Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is just $35 since he is a Prime Time dog. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, an AHS I.D. tag, a colorful leash and collar and a follow-up veterinary exam.
