Dog Of The Day: Adi From Arizona Humane Society!

A year ago today, Adi was barely hanging on and she was in critical condition as she was rushed to the Arizona Humane Society by an EAMT. Upon arrival the hospital team discovered that the wounded pup had fractured her leg after being hit by a car. The young Pit bull terrier mix was sent to foster care where she made a full recovery and thankfully, her leg didn’t have to be amputated.

With adorable markings and an extremely affectionate personality, Adi was quickly adopted but after a year had passed her family realized they no longer had time for a dog and brought her back to AHS. The second time around has proven to be a bit more challenging for this one-year and three-month-old sweetheart and sadly she has become one of the loneliest residents at the shelter.

Although she appreciates being spoiled by the staff members with frequent play sessions, extra attention and treats whenever she pleases Adi won’t be content until she finds a new family to call her own. With each day she spends as a homeless dog she becomes more worried, depressed and confused and she needs to find a home quickly before she looses all hope and gives up completely.

Adi has a lot to offer a new owner who promises to love her unconditionally. She is a loving and loyal dog who loves to lounge around on the couch, sleep at the foot of the bed, relax by the pool and soak up the scenery on her evening stroll through the park. She has a playful side that appears only when a stuffed toy is placed in front of her.

Adi has a firm grip on all of the basic commands and she is housetrained. She would do best in a home with older children and/or dogs that are just as playful as she is. A family meet and greet is required to ensure a good match.

She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope facility located at 9226 N. 13th Avenue in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $35. This adoption fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam.
