The Chocolate Fiasco

chocolate.jpgWe are finally back in San Diego, yay! We may be very happy, but we are definitely not happy about leaving the kids behind, especially after this weekend’s Chocolate Fiasco.

Just to briefly fill you in, Baby Boy, who’s currently going through a doggie diet per doctor’s orders and is starving all day long, got into a box of chocolates on the coffee table, generously left out by me (who else). He enjoyed this box of chocolate with Pom Pom and Casper while the whole everyone in the house was out to dinner Friday evening.

Pom Pom has gotten into random sweets when I’ve accidentally left food on the edge of the coffee table before, but never would she be able to reach something in the middle of a table.  Baby Boy, a medium sized dog and whose diet has helped him lose 3 pounds already, is behaving like a young, active, hungry doggie without arthritis and scavenging for food wherever he can get it (including fallen fruit from trees in the backyard).

Anyway, we come home to chocolate wrappers all over the living room floor–licked clean– and three very suspicious-looking dogs.  As expected, there were many bathroom trips into the backyard and three very lethargic dogs with rumbling tummies.

Most affected was Casper, who is displaying difficulties with numbers one and two even two days later. We were sad to leave him in this state, but he’s safe in the care of his grandma and hopefully won’t be needing a trip to the vet…

Oh Baby Boy!
