Dog of The Day: Madison From Arizona Humane Society!

Madison enjoys tossing rope toys up in the air and playing in the yard ALMOST as much as she enjoys lounging around the house. Being a family-oriented dog, she has her paws crossed that a loving family will step forward and give her a good home.

This one-year-old American Bulldog and Pit bull terrier mix was once a lost and lonely stray until a Good Samaritan picked her up and brought her home. The following two weeks were spent searching for her missing family, but nobody claimed this sensational canine. With too many pets to care for already, the family brought Madison to the Arizona Humane Society.

Madison has a heart that is as big as her smile and she all she wants in life is to be part of a family who will shower her with love. Her favorite pastime is cuddling on the couch with the kids and at night she will sleep at the foot of their bunk-beds. She wouldn’t mind having feline roommate in her new home, but she can be rowdy and playful around other dogs so a dog introduction is required. She is great on a leash and enjoys smelling all the smells in the neighborhood on her daily stroll. She also loves car rides and going for adventures. She has a firm grasp on the basic commands and is even housetrained.

She has had such a rough start in life and simply deserves the best in her new home.

Madison is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope facility located at 9226 N. 13th Ave in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is just $35 since she is a member of our exclusive Lonely Hearts club and has been looking for a home since May. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about this pet, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A306165 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet
