Imagine driving down the freeway and seeing two dogs, two cats, and two humans packed together in a Toyota Prius. I was one of the humans in that car today, and I couldn’t help but think what we must all look like to people driving by.
Cindy and I have done the drive from Eugene, Oregon to Sacramento with Pom, Casper, and Beau the giant cat many times before–this time we were bringing along our new cat Athena. Taking a new cat on an 8-hour car trip with three other animals is pretty sucky, mainly because we weren’t sure how she was going to react to being in the car for so long–more specifically, how her BOWELS were going to react.
Lucky for me, Cindy, and the car’s interior, the trip went well, no pee or poop accidents in the car, and now we’re in Sac with four crashed out animals.
We’re the world’s first traveling zoo that gets 50 miles per gallon.
