Dog of The Day: Lycan From Arizona Humane Society!

The economic hard times affect not only people but also pets, and when Lycan’s family was forced to downsize to an apartment they soon discovered that their new landlord wouldn’t allow even the smallest four-legged roommates. So with a tearful goodbye, this pint-size Chihuahua was dropped off at the Arizona Humane Society.

With age comes wisdom and at the mature age of seven Lycan is well past the rowdy puppy stage. Instead of chewing shoes and seeking mischievous adventures, Lycan would much rather sleep in on the weekends or cuddle on the couch. He has proven himself to be a perfect gentleman and in addition to mastering all the basic commands he is house, leash and crate trained.

He likes short strolls around the park early in the morning and during the afternoons he likes to take long naps on a cozy dog bed. This pampered pooch has become accustomed to living a “cushy lifestyle” and hopes to be spoiled by his new family.

Lycan seems to really enjoy the company of kids but a family meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good match so bring the whole family, including your current canine, to the shelter to meet him.

He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is just $35 since is a Prime Time dog. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam.
