Dog of The Day: Rambo From Arizona Humane Society!

Rambo devoted his entire life to his previous family, and when his owners fell on hard times and lost their home Rambo’s life came crashing down. Now he sits alone in a kennel waiting for someone special to notice his good looks, charming personality and well-mannered disposition.

The first thing many people notice about this German shepherd mix is that he is missing and eye, but Rambo doesn’t seem to notice at all; in fact his disability has yet to hinder him from catching a soaring Frisbee or chasing after a bouncing tennis ball. Rambo is a hardy 6-Year-old who will need an active human pal to keep those paws of his in motion and keep him busy with fun activities which will help him shed a few pounds. He likes going for walks and playing with other dogs in the park but when exhaustion begins to creep up, he likes to settle down in the cool grassy yard or on a cozy dog bed indoors for a nap.

Rambo is a perfect gentleman who is leash and housetrained and has mastered all of the basic commands like “sit,” “down,” “stay” and “come.” A family introduction is recommended to ensure he fits into your family so bring the dogs and kids to the shelter for a meet and greet.

He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $35 because he is a Prime Time dog. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Rambo, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A298336 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet
