Authorities Raid Well-Known Boxer Rescue In San Diego

More than 60 dogs were rescued from a place that was supposed to be a safe haven for canines.

The owner of The Boxer Rescue in Lakeside, Calif., which has been operating for years, now faces felony animal neglect charges.

According to animal control officers, dogs were stacked in crates at least two high throughout the home–many of the crates had no water for the dogs–many crates were full of vomit.

Officers said the dogs were only allowed out of their crates once a day.

Many of the dogs have skin issues, as well as problems with the pads of their feet from trying to get out of the crates.
