Dog of The Day: Tony From Arizona Humane Society!

TonyWhen other shelters around the Valley are short on kennel space and have to consider euthanizing animals, they call the Arizona Humane Society for help.

So begins the story of Tony, a 2-Year-Old Rottweiler who was able to buy himself some time through this program. He is a gentle giant with expressive facial features that reveal his affectionate personality. Faithful and devoted to the family lifestyle, Tony hopes to fall in love with a family who will make him the center of their world. He enjoys accompanying the family on long walks to the park where he will attentively “baby sit” the kids as they explore the playground. He likes watching football games on the couch, chewing on doggie bones and soaking up ear scratches.

He knows the basic commands and is already partially housetrained. A family introduction is required to ensure a perfect match so bring other canines and the kids to meet Tony.

He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $160. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Blue, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A291312 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet
