Dog of The Day: Tobi From Arizona Humane Society!

TobiWithout time to spend cuddling Tobi, a loyal and devoted family dog, was surrendered to the Arizona Humane Society by his previous owners.

Like a big teddy bear, this handsome Border collie and Chow mix is always ready to snuggle with his human friends, and even if he is teetering on 50 pounds he never hesitates to crawl onto an available dog lover’s lap and share dog kisses.

While this young 1-year-old spends most of his time glued to the side of his human friend, when he is set free in a grassy yard his playful personality is revealed. Like a whirlwind this young pooch will toss a rope toy in the air while running full speed across the yard. Tobi will eagerly chase after any flying toy as it soars across the yard.

Tobi is very well-trained and he knows all the basic commands and he is also housetrained. He is always happy to hang out with children, cats or other canines but a family introduction is required to ensure a good match.

He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $110. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Tobi, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A285740 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
