Dog of the Day: Amaya from Arizona Humane Society!

amaya.jpg

Amaya may be an intimidating Rottweiler, but this mushy love-bug wants nothing more than to shower her new human companion with unconditional love.

Amaya is a fun-loving doggie who always wears an ear to ear grin, and she has an upbeat attitude towards life that is simply contagious. Amaya is always ready to play, and she is looking for a home with a spacious yard with enough room to play fetch.

She is an avid tennis ball player who will enthusiastically chase after a yellow felt covered ball until she is exhausted. She isn’t picky about her dog toys, and she also loves to play with rope toys, squeaky toys, or stuffed toys.

Amaya will need an active human pal to keep her on her paws. She enjoys exploring outside, and she would be an excellent hiking or walking partner for an ambitious and athletic person. Exercise is incredibly important to keep her happy and healthy.

Although Amaya has a playful side, she also appreciates lazy “dog days” where she can lounge around the house, kick up her paws on the couch, and take a long doggie nap. She is very well-mannered, and after her daily walk she is calm and quiet for the rest of the evening.

This clever canine has already mastered the basic commands and she knows “sit” “down” “stay” “go” “come” and “fetch.”

Amaya is the perfect family dog, and she enjoys the company of children of all ages, cats and other canines.

You can adopt Amaya NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is just $100.
