Product Review: Wonkey Bonkers Crazy Cat Toy
This dog product review has been long overdue. If, in fact, there was ever a way to phrase that to the n-th degree, it’d be that long overdue. And so, finally, here it is to kick-start the new year. Now, the typical approach I take to reviewing a precious doggie toy is to place said toy under my pillow and then sleep on it for 20-30 minutes. If I can imagine Beary still enjoying said toy after said cat nap, it is deemed “Beary worthy.” Well, not really.
Actually, what I really do is probably no different from your own initial dog toy inspection: look at its aesthetics, squeeze it, feel how heavy it is and guesstimate if it’ll last long enough to warrant its price. That said, I didn’t purchase this toy, ha! This toy shipped per air mail thanks to Katie Casey at Formula PR who plugs inventory for Fat Cat Inc.
Starting off with the bad news, this toy is not very easy on the eyes. It’s more of an eye sore… with no Clear Eyes in sight. It looks like a Kong which has been dressed in a funky, canvas cat suit with psychedelic colors. It’s like the Ren & Stimpy of cartoons — you’re not quite sure what you’re looking at till several moments later. The good part about this toy is that Beary hasn’t been able to shred it into bits and pieces yet, which he’s managed to do with another canvas toy I had bought him several weeks prior — along with every other chew toy. Very impressive.
My recommendation? If you’re feeling like a big spender or need that really freaky-looking toy that’s missing in Fido’s collection, go for it!
