Dog of the Day: Sophie From Arizona Humane Society!

SophieSophie is a 42-pound lap dog who never misses the opportunity to crawl into a dog lovers lap and shower them with sloppy dog kisses. This charismatic American Pit Bull Terrier has an endless amount of unconditional love to share with her new forever family.

At 11-months, Sophie has plenty of energy to burn and being the young puppy that she is, she never holds back when it comes to playing, romping, and showing off her athletic abilities. This enthusiastic girl is looking for a human pal who will be devoted to play time and can spend countless hours entertaining her with fun activities which put all her energy to good use.

While Sophie is boisterous and rowdy in the yard, she settles down quickly indoors and this well-mannered girl will eagerly obey the basic commands when she is asked politely. After a long day of play, she is always happy to join those she loves most on the sofa and watch a good movie.

Sophie would prefer a home where she was the only doggie, but if a meet and greet with your current canine goes well, she can go to a home with other canines. She is shy around children so bring the whole family down to meet Sophie and see if she is the right match for your family.

She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $35 because she is a member of our exclusive Lonely Hearts club and she has been looking for a home for over a month now. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Sophie, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A282694 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has dozens more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
