Joe Namath’s Dogs Declared Dangerous

muzzleThe dogs of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath are not making his owner many new fans in his Florida neighborhood.

Namath appeared before a hearing officer yesterday in West Palm Beach to answer charges that two of his dogs attacked people at his home in Tequesta, which is outside Miami.

Leo, Namath’s 6-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, was declared “dangerous” during the hearing. Officials say the case against another of Namath’s dogs was dropped because a witness didn’t show.

As a dangerous dog, Leo must now be muzzled and leashed even while on Namath’s property.
