Casper once again proved that he’s one of the most accident-prone pooches this side of the Mississippi–he somehow managed to break one of his nails at the quick (ie: the vein)–long story short, it bled all over the place Sunday night, then it stopped bleeding, then he kept licking it.

We hoped that it would heal up on its own and be OK…then we remembered this is CASPER…things just don’t go and heal up on their own in the world of Casper.

So we bit the bullet and took him to the vet. Luckily, the damage was only about $140, which, considering his last two trips to the vet for accidents totaled $500, was a sigh of relief.

The best part? About a week ago, we signed all of our pets up for pet insurance…the insurance starts on the 15th…Casper’s boo-boo happened on the 8th.

Casper: Accident-prone. Bad timing.
