The Big Epiphany on Bookmarking Sites
Some time, usually around eight or nine o’clock after an extended morning nap, Beary will stretch out his front and hind paws to the sound of a squealing yawn. He will then proceed with a body shakedown, sit, stare and commence his potty plea, which sounds a bit oddly like a five-year-old whiny, constipated child. And if I am just lagging a tad on taking him out for a #1, #2 or #3 (that’s #1 & #2, fyi), he will eventually chomp in the air to remind me that he needs to attend to his business – right now. That becomes routine. But what I get a slight chuckle out of sometimes is the next thing he does.
For some reason, I’ve always been the type to constantly try to decipher what Beary’s trying to convey, why he’s doing what he’s doing and why he chomps the air. I figure, there have to be some parallels to our furry counterparts that we can relate to our lives. So, in “marking†his territory, I’ve come to the conclusion that I do something very similar. Bookmarking. I like to surf the Web for *creative inspiration* and what-not, which is when it dawned on me one day – I bookmark sites just as much as he “bookmarks†them. And I think that’s kind of a funny observation – like I said, just a slight chuckle. So what does this tell you? 1) I will never be in charge of a scientific study, 2) I’m easily entertained, and 3) I still don’t know why Beary chomps in the air.ÂÂ
