Dog of The Day: Tia From Arizona Humane Society!

tia--ahsTia is a robust and hearty Rottweiler and Bull Mastiff mix that is full of enthusiasm. This bouncy two-year-old is excited about life, and she is anxious to fall in love with her new human companion.

Tia is a young adolescent canine with a limitless amount of energy. She is always on the go and she hopes to find a human buddy who lives an active lifestyle, and can put her boundless energy to good use. She will need a spacious yard that will allow her to reach top speeds while she is playing her favorite game… FETCH. She loves to play and she always has a toy or tennis ball stuffed in between her pearly white teeth. Tia is always eager to make a splash on a warm summer day, and she would enjoy a doggie play pool to cool off in, or a deep diving pool to leap into.

She is already housetrained and she knows the “sit” command. She will need firm leadership and a patient coach to train her, exercise her, and giver her plenty of attention.

She is always excited to meet new dog lovers, and she greets everyone by wiggling her entire body and posing in a play bow. She is a rambunctious dog who would really enjoy romping in the yard with older children, but she may be too rowdy for tumbling toddlers. Tia has a tendency to chase small animals including cats, and she needs to go to a home without small critters running around. She is always excited to meet other doggies but she can be a little rude around other canines so a dog introduction is required to ensure that your resident dog is comfortable with Tia’s personality.

She is waiting at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion on 1521 W Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is $110. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Tia, please call (602) 997-7586 Ext. 1045 and ask for animal I.D. number A264200 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has dozens more wonderful pets who also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
