Sam has sold two dozen paintings for up to $1,700–that’s Sam the DOG/CANINE/POOCH.

Using a custom-made brush that sits in his mouth, this six-year-old hound-mix’s painting are currently all the rage in the New York art scene.

According to his owner, Sam loves to paint and happily continues to paint for hour after the owner leaves him alone with brush-in-mouth.

Once Sam hears the command “paint,” he takes his brush into his mouth, approaches the canvas, and gets to work.

Sam’s owners run Shore Service Dogs, which provide specially trained service dogs to disabled people. Money made from the sale of Sam’s paintings helps to keep Shore Service Dogs running.
