Dog of the Day: Scruffy From Arizona Humane Society!
Just one glance at Scruffy, an eye-catching Soft Coat Wheaten Terrier mix, and his personality is instantly revealed. His doggie beard and his perpetually messy hairdo prove that he is a carefree one-year-old with an animated personality.
Scruffy has been patiently waiting for over a month now for that special someone to devote his life to. This spirited pooch hopes to fall in love with a buddy who enjoys the same things in life that he does; taking the long way home on a neighborhood walk, playing “tug†with rope toys in the yard, and hanging out with other dogs and dog lovers.
Scruffy is partially housetrained, and he is still learning the basic commands. A patient coach is needed to teach him new tricks and encourage him along the way.
Scruffy will not tolerate living with “Fluffy†(the cat) and he must go to a home where felines do not reside. Bring the kids (and any other dogs) to the Arizona Humane Society to meet Scruffy and see if he is the perfect match for your family.
You can adopt Scruffy NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is just $35 because he is a member of our exclusive Lonely Hearts club. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful leash and collar, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam.
