Dog of the Day: Skirt From Arizona Humane Society!

SkirtSkirt’s previous owner was called over seas to serve in the military, and with a tearful goodbye and a pat on the head he reluctantly brought her to the Arizona Humane Society to find a new home. Skirt is anxious to find a new family to devote her life to and she promise to be a faithful friend.

At the zestful age of 11-months, this high-spirited Staffordshire mix has a limitless amount of energy. She is all for early morning hikes, romping in the yard, hanging out by the pool and soaking up belly rubs. This playful puppy will need a large toy basket filled to the brim with tennis balls, stuffed toys, Kong toys and ropes.

Skirt is passionate about learning new tricks and she has already mastered the “sit,” “down,” “come,” “stay” and “shake” commands. However, she is always eager to learn more. Skirt is already housetrained and crate trained as well.

This outgoing girl is always excited to meet kids and other dogs, but she may be a little too enthusiastic for some children and more mature dogs so a family introduction is required.

You can adopt Skirt NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $110. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccinations, colorful collar and leash, AHS I.D. tag, and a free follow-up veterinary examination. For more information about Skirt, please call (602) 997-7586 Ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A279517 or log on to www.azhumane.org.
