Dogs of the Day: Lucky and Happy from Arizona Humane Society!

Lucky and Happy A278511-12Happy and Lucky are the best of friends, and these two Airedale Terrier mixes live their lives side by side with synchronized tail wags and matching doggie grins. Through thick and thin they have each other, but what these two girls are looking for now is a forever home.

When other shelters around the Valley don’t have room to spare, they call the Arizona Humane Society and we gladly take as many dogs as possible and place those dogs up for adoption at one of our locations. Happy and Lucky were part of this “Reach out” program, and they have been given a second chance to become someone’s lifelong friend.

Both Lucky and Happy are active two-year-olds with a long “to do” list. They love to go for long walks, romp in a grassy yard, go for occasional hikes with their human pal, play tag in the back yard, chew on bones, play with toys that squeak, and soak up as much attention as possible.

The experts at our shelter recommend a family introduction so bring the kids and your current canine comrade to the shelter to visit with Happy and Lucky.

Whoever adopts these two girls will be the happiest and luckiest pet parents!

You can adopt these two girls NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. They’re on the Buddy System and they must go home together. Their adoption fee is only $110 for both of them. This fee includes their spay surgery, vaccinations, colorful collars and leashes, AHS I.D. tags, and a free follow-up veterinary examination for each of them.
