Having spent the entire 3 months of this summer studying for my doctoral comprehensive exams, I wasn’t really able to do much hanging out with anyone…including my doggies.  Pom Pom and Casper were not happy campers, and in the last couple of weeks, have even started protesting my long hours out at coffeehouses and general lack of attention paid to them by refusing to eat.

As of last Friday, the exam is finally over (thank GOODNESS for that!), and I celebrated the weekend by sleeping in, eating, and napping all day long.  Pom Pom and Casper were skeptical at first, and it took a good couple of days before they finally started believing I was home to stay.  They finally ate some food, and now we’re all sitting on the sofa catching up on our DVR.

I’m also enjoying some online shopping and imaginary vacation planning.  Hey, Fall may be starting, but MY summer’s just starting…even if it’s only for one week!
