Yesterday, my sister met a rescued 3-month-old pit bull with an incredible story. This little pup, now named Smokey, was doused with acid and then dumped in the desert. Smokey was eventually found by local Animal Control.

He was scheduled to be euthanized, but was rescued by his now-owner just in time.
