Dog of the Day: Rocky from Arizona Humane Society!
With an acute sense of smell and a gregarious, outgoing personality, Rocky, a Beagle and Pit bull terrier mix, has captured the best characteristics of both breeds. This adventurous one-year-old lives life with great enthusiasm, and he hopes to fall in love with someone that is just as spontaneous as he is.
Rocky is an exuberant doggie that has several bursts of energy throughout the day. He will need regular walks and plenty of play time to keep him out of mischief, so keep this busy body entertained with fun activities.
Rocky is always eager to please and receive praise from his human companions, but he will need a dedicated coach to train him and help him become a well-rounded pooch.
A human pal, who is just as clever as Rocky, is needed to outsmart this clever canine, and put the breaks on him chasing felines. He is already leash trained, but he is anxious to learn new tricks that will impress all the dog lovers that he crosses paws with.
Rocky doesn’t mind passing by other canines in the pet store, but when it comes to splitting treats or dinner Rocky doesn’t want to go halves with other dogs. He must be the only canine in his new home, but Rocky promises to shower his human friends with the same amount of love that 100 dogs would provide.
Rocky would LOVE to have a few kids to race around in the yard with, and he would fall ears over paws for any kid who is able to toss a ball across the yard for him to chase.
You can adopt Rocky NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix.
