A nice example of what can happen when celebrities use their powers for good: Super-actress Katherine Heigl helped 25 Chihuahuas escape likely euthanization in the overcrowded Los Angeles stray animal system.

The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation funded the flight for these lucky micro-pooches from Los Angeles to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua of New Hampshire.

Chihuahuas are much less common in the New England area, so the dogs will most likely be adopted very quickly.
