Review: Mutt Munchers Dog Treats

mutt.jpg

Dogs love treats: Big treats, little treats, and forbidden treats (ie: any human food left on the coffee table too long is fair game).

Cindy and I recently decided to make an effort to give Casper and Pom Pom healthier dog food, as well as healthier treats. Back in San Diego, we used to go to this little pet store called Muttropolis. We started buying these all-natural treats they had called Mutt Munchers.

Casper and Pom Pom love them. Casper basically eats them without taking time to chew. Pom Pom has gotten really picky about what she eats these days, but she eats these things up without hesitation.

The treats are made with human-grade ingredients such as flour, eggs, brown sugar and honey (no byproducts, fillers or other junk like that) and they are oven-baked.

Unfortunately, these treats aren’t available at your local Petsmart, but you can buy them online at www.muttropolis.com. The treats are on the pricey end at $9 for one 16 0z. bag.

Pros: Taste great (my sister-in-law and I actually tasted them over the summer–seriously, they actually taste decent even by human standards!). All-natural ingredients.

Cons: Unless you live near one of the store’s five different locations, you’ll have to buy them online. They aren’t cheap, so you might want to save them for special occasions.
