WOOHOO! Sam’s been sprung!

Everything about Sam is EXCEPTIONAL! This two-year old Catahoula and Labrador mix is charming in every way, but sadly Sam’s charm didn’t win the heart of his family’s new landlord so Sam was surrendered to the Arizona Humane Society.

This light-hearted and outgoing pooch doesn’t let it get the best of him though. He remains hopeful that someone will fall in love with his sweet personality and adorable features.

With swirls and spots of black, gray and smoke, Sam’s color pattern is just as unique as his personality. He craves human companionship, and he wants nothing more than to be near a doggie lover and receive a belly rub.

His big brown eyes will gaze at his loved ones with adoration, and he longs for a pal who will make him the center of their world.

The Catahoula breed is exceptionally smart, energetic and athletic. Sam is crazy about playing fetch, and he will enthusiastically chase a ball for hours on a cool day.

Sam would enjoy going for long walks as well as hiking or jogging when it is nice outside. In the evenings, when the grass is cool, Sam likes to lie in the grass and take a short nap while soaking up the evening sunshine.

Sam is a perfect gentleman, and not only does he do well on a leash, but he already knows the basic commands and is housetrained as well.

Because he is so well mannered, he insists on being an inside dog and participating in all the family activities instead of being left outside alone.

Sam’s laid-back and easygoing disposition is idea for families with other animals or children. He will blend into any household with dog lovers both two-legged and four-legged, including cats.

Sam promises to give his new family more love than they could ever imagine in exchange for a lifetime of friendship.

You can adopt Sam NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is just $100. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccinations, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a free follow-up veterinary examination.
