Pet Airways: The First PET-ONLY Airline!

Ok, so you’re flying out for that important business trip and you just CAN’T bear to leave your precious pooch behind at a boarding facility. So on the way to the airport, you drop your dog off at a nearby facility, where they’ll hang out at a pet lounge before boarding an airplane containing secured carrying cases specifically designed for pets. At all times, a “pet attendant” is with your pooch.

When you land at your destination, your dog’s flight also lands. You head to the lounge where you pick up your waiting pet.

Pet Airways, which has been in operation since July 2008, has made this little scenario a reality for many pet owners.  The airline currently serves major cities such as Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, NYC and Washington, D.C.

Introductory fares start at $149.  Thanks to a high amount of interest in the service–so much so that the airline is having trouble meeting the high demand–the airline has plans to expand to 25 continental cities within the next few years.
