Dog of the Day: Buddy from Austin Humane Society!

Want more smiles in your life? Buddy’s got them, as you can see. He is a young adult Rottweiler mix, very friendly to people including children, but under-socialized with other dogs.

Buddy, for being a large dog, is pretty mellow around people. He’s friendly but a little on the shy side. He loves a good behind the ear scratching.

We color code our animals based on their personality type. He is considered a wall flower. “Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom.”

Behaving around other dogs isn’t his strong suit. He wasn’t exposed enough to other dogs before he got to the Humane Society. A patient and loving owner without other pets would be the best place for him to end up.

He needs a good leader-owner that will spend some time with him, training and building up his self control. He is making fast progress at the Shelter. Come see Buddy!

Stop by the Austin Humane Society at 124 W. Anderson Lane in Austin, or visit www.austinhumanesociety.org. You can also call them at 512.646.7387.

While you’re out at the shelter, stop by and check out Breezy! She’s another wonderful dog ready to go home with you TODAY!
