Every time I go to open a bag of SunChips…or any other food item that makes that “I’m opening a bag of chips” noise, I get bumrushed by the heard of animals I live with– oh, I’m throwin’ the cats in on this one, too. They go just as crazy when “crinkle crinkle” happens.
Let’s define this type of crazy I’m talking about:Â Empty room–>The bag opens–>Animals run towards me from every direction–>Dogs jump up at my legs, cats meow at my feet–>I walk away with my SunChips–>Animals still in the kitchen, sniffing nonstop, wondering where I hid the treats.
In reality, it’s nobody’s fault but my own. Throughout the day I’ll wander into the kitchen and decide to announce “TREAT TIME!” to the animals. They all come running and I give them a little piece of some random treat Cindy brought home from work–99% of the time these treats are contained in a bag that sounds JUST like a bag of SunChips when opened.
Without meaning to, I’ve conditioned the whole pack to come running at the first sound of a crinkling bag.
Yeah I know, not a big deal in the great scheme of things, but it makes me think twice any time I head to the kitchen for a snack.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to lose a few pounds.
