One-Dog Rule Passes in Peru’s Capital

Fed up with all the noise coming from endless barking, a neighborhood in Lima, Peru is barring people living in an apartment from having more than one dog.

Anyone caught having more than one dog in their apartment will be heavily fined and may have their dogs removed.

The ordinance was passed in this particular neighborhood because neighbors complained about the large amount of dogs prevented “good physical and mental health.”

People living in houses in the neighborhood are allowed to have two dogs.
