Still a Cutie

Cutie

Oy. So what’s up with Beary White? I know you’re all wondering that =P He’s doin pretty well… lotsa sleepin, poopin, sleepin, peein, sleepin, grubbin. He is starting to grow some rather thick chin hair. Not sure if you knew this, but Westies grow two coats – a thick and thin one. Since he’s still about a year-and-a-half old, all you can really see is his thin Greek-like, curly puppy hair (Beary also goes by “Mophead” around the house). All West Highland white terrier owners Shannon and I happen to run into always say that “our dog used to look just like yours,” reassuring us that he’ll eventually turn into some sort of pudgy, cream-colored Westie – just like theirs. But I don’t really buy it. First of all, Beary doesn’t pig out whenever he’s got a full bowl of dog chow, so he’s not gonna get that stout and porky. Sometimes, one bowl will last him two meals. Besides, he was the runt among the pack of dogs when we got him… and he still looks like one compared to the other dogs we run into whenever we walk him. He’s still a cutie.
