OK, this is definitely an interesting one. I’ve never heard of “fish skin chews” of any kind, much less ones from ICELAND.

–Encounters weird crack on sidewalk. Had to jump over it.

Woah. Just. Woah…

He is an absolute snuggler and he really enjoys crawling into your lap and just watching the world go by. 1. Sleeping in. Back in the college days, I’d sleep in until noon on the weekends. These days, I’m up bright and early, standing outside with the dogs in my pj’s, hoping they’ll pee sooner than later.

2. Your bed. Speaking of sleeping, get used to fighting your dog for blankets and bed-space. Pom Pom is only 8 lbs, but somehow manages to sleep in this crazy diagonal position that leaves me with my butt hovering off the bed almost every morning.

3. Cheap apartments. “Honey! Come look at this amazing loft apartment in the middle of the city! Look at that amazing view! Look how cheap that rent is! ….oh, no dogs allowed…”

As of late, we have been blessed with Casper’s own moments of room-clearing gas. Dustin’s nose was so assaulted tonight that he immediately took Casper out for a late-night poo session.

Good thing, too, because I’m told he pooped immediately.

One of the easiest ways to help out the earth every day is by making a few simple changes to some of the things we do for our pets (your dog doesn’t know the difference between Figi bottled water and filtered tap water, I promise). Here are some eco-friendly tips from the ASPCA:

Spring Cleaning
Empty out the dark corners of your closets, then call local shelters and ask if they need old towels, bedding, leashes, litter boxes and pet toys. They may even be looking for unused printers and computer monitors.

Water Works
Give your pet filtered tap water instead of bottled to drink. If you must use bottled, be sure to recycle.

The Power of Poop
Scoop dog poop with biodegradable bags instead of plastic bags from the grocery store. If you’re a suburbanite (or an urbanite with a lawn), do some research on doggie septic systems—they help keep your lawn free of smelly surprises and break waste down into a liquid the ground can absorb. Green Grooming

Spot On

Lucia is a sensitive 1 year old spayed female chocolate lab mix. She is friendly, affectionate, and playful with the staff and volunteers. She makes an excellent walking companion and has nice house manners. She appears to have had some experince with house training and should only need a touch up in this area. I knew it would happen  one day, I just didn’t think it would be this soon.

2. Consult with a veterinarian and pediatrician if the thought of your newborn interacting with the family pet makes you uncomfortable. By working with these experts before your baby is born, you can resolve problems early and put your mind at ease.

3. Address any pet training and behavior problems. If your pet exhibits fear and anxiety, now is the time to get help from an animal behavior specialist. If your pet’s behavior includes gentle nibbling, pouncing, or swatting at you and others, redirect that behavior to appropriate objects.

9.Before you bring your baby home from the hospital, have your partner or friend take home something with the baby’s scent (such as a blanket) for your pet to investigate.

10. After the initial greeting, you can bring your pet with you to sit next to the baby; reward your pet with treats for appropriate behavior. Remember, you want your pet to view associating with the baby as a positive experience. To prevent anxiety or injury, never force your pet to get near the baby, and always supervise any interaction.

1. Neuter:

Testosterone seems to play a role in urine marking. At least one study has shown that neutering a dog at any age will help prevent it. It can’t be guaranteed that neutering a dog is going to magically cure this problem but if you don’t neuter a male dog, your chances of breaking the habit are greatly reduced.

2. Supervise and Break the Habit. You MUST catch him in the act! DOGS LEARN QUICKLY FROM THIS!

Close supervision is necessary. You must be dedicated to stop the marking behavior of your dog and you must be consistent. Some people have reported that it has only taken a day or two using the intense supervision method.

Confine your dog to one area of the house where you can watch him. Shut doors to other areas of the house or barricade them off with baby gates or improvise with whatever is at hand.

If barricading is not possible another option is to put your dog on a retractable lead while he is in the house with you and for you to have total control at all times.

3. Make yourself a Shaker Bottle or Shaker Can: A shaker can is simply an empty cola can with a several coins inside it. The opening is taped over to prevent the coins flying out. It makes a lot of noise when you shake it up and down.

A shaker bottle is a plastic bottle with some small pebbles or coins placed inside.

Watch your dog for any signs (such as sniffing and circling) that he is even thinking about marking. The moment he begins to lift his leg shake the can once only to get his attention. The loud noise should startle him and interrupt what he is doing. As he looks towards where the noise has come from. Give him the command in a stern voice ‘NO PEE’.

OK, so you have stopped him peeing once. Now you have to be consistent and diligent and continue with the behavior modification each and every time you see him attempt to mark urine.

Do not rant, rave or smack your dog at any time. Punishment will make an insecure dog more insecure.

This method is not intended for house training your puppy, only for urine marking. Potty training is another issue.

4. Praise him when he pees where you want him to: Don’t forget to praise your dog when he marks in an appropriate place. If you are outside and he marks on a tree or other acceptable object or area tell him what a good boy he is. Tell him, ‘Pee here, good boy’ in a happy voice. Dogs learn quickly from positive responses to their behavior.

The message you are trying to get across to him is that urine marking isn’t bad, but that marking inside the house isn’t such a good idea.

When you go out. Dogs who suffer separation anxiety may pee while you are out. They are not peeing out of spite because you left them, dogs just don’t think like this. They are feeling anxious at being left alone. Try leaving them an item of your worn clothing with your familiar smells on it. This just might be enough to settle their anxiety.

5. Confinement is the only answer for some dogs: Some dogs will never be able to be trusted with the run of the house. Although inconvenient to you it may be necessary to close doors to certain rooms and only allow freedom in the rooms he can be trusted. Another alternative is to use Belly Bands (see below)

6. Deterrents. Spray Commander is a system which uses a device that is attached to the dog’s collar which delivers a harmless but unpleasant spray to the dog. You activate the spray with a remote control when you catch the dog in the act of inappropriate behavior such as urine marking on your furniture.

You may be able to deter your from dog peeing on the furniture by attaching strips of aluminum foil to his favorite spots. The urine will make a noise when hitting the foil and may splash back on him. This may deter some dogs but it will have no effect on others. You could also try putting his water bowl in his favorite spot.

7. Cleaning is important. You must thoroughly clean areas where your dog has peed in the past and completely remove the scent to discourage your dog from re-marking in the same place. Use a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wash the soiled areas well.

Avoid using ammonia based products to clean dog urine. One of the ingredients of dog urine is ammonia and he may well be encouraged to re-mark in the same area.

8. Visiting Friends. If you think your dog is likely to urine mark in your friend’s house don’t give him the opportunity to do so. Keep him on a leash at all times. You can walk him around the new environment on the leash and if he gives the slightest hint that he may cock his leg, tell him ‘NO’. Or you could take your Shaker Can with you. You may eventually be able to trust him but if the house you are visiting has pets living there it could be a very challenging task.

9. New Baby? If your dog has newly acquired the habit of urine marking since bringing a new baby home you will need to reassure him that he is still loved and part of the family. Involve him in fun activities while the baby is around making the baby and associated baby smells less of a threat to him.

10. Belly Bands. Sometimes it can be very difficult to stop your dog peeing everywhere in the house, on your furniture and other objects.

Belly Bands may be a solution when all else has failed.

As with any behavior problem, there may be an underlying medical condition which is causing the marking. Get your vet to check him out.

If you want a single month of Barkbox, that’ll run you $29.99. Signing up for three or six-month plans brings the per-box price down to $23 or $19 respectively. The catch here is that you’ll have to pony up the entire amount up front. Not a huge fan of that. Personally, I would love to sign up for six months and keep the boxes coming for Casper, but I can’t pay $114 all at once. On the flip side, I think $29.99 is a little too pricey for a single box.

Variety of Items: The Petflow box had a nice variety of tasty, high-quality treats. However, there weren’t any toys or long-lasting chews like a bully stick.

Barkbox also had a great mix of high-quality eats, but also included a couple of toys.

Winner: Barkbox

Overall value:  There were big boxes and bags of treats in the Petflow box, and the treats were high-quality. One item (the keychain) didn’t really add any value to the box.

There were fewer items in the Barkbox, but there was a better variety in the box. The treats were high-quality, but the boxes/bags were small. The toys in the box were awesome.

Winner: Barkbox

Bottom line: We had a lot of fun with these boxes–I realized that Cindy and I got really, really excited when the boxes showed up in the mail and it was time to open them up to see what was inside. There is no clear-cut winner here, just two boxes full of fun stuff that suits different doggie tastes:

If you spend a lot of money on treats for your dog, a “Spoiled Rotten” box from Petflow is just what you (and your dog) need. You’ll get a box full of good-quality treats, and they’ll last awhile.

If your dog likes treats and toys and constantly needs stuff to do (ie: my dog Casper), then you’ll be pretty darn happy with Barkbox.

Barkbox:

Cost: $29.99 for a one-month subscription. $23/month for a three-month subscription. $18/month for a six-month subscription. Must prepay the entire amount for all subscription levels.

Cool things about this box: They typically feature a mix of treats, toys, and chews. Barkbox donates 10% of proceeds to local shelters. You get to specify the size of your pooch, and your Barkbox will be feature size-appropriate toys and treats.

Number of items in the box we received: 5

Item #1: Get Naked Dental Chew Sticks. We used to get these chews a lot for the dog because they never seemed to get sick of them. All-natural, too. Casper says 10/10 paws.

Item #2: Aussie Naturals Wooley Cotton Rope Toy: I wasn’t sure if Casper would like this. Normally, rope toys don’t do it for him. This particular rope toy, however, is small enough to fit in his mouth, and he like using it to tug with me. Casper says 6/10 paws.

Item #3: Wet Noses Dog Treats. There were two small boxes of these treats (each box was a different flavor). All-natural treats that Casper loved. I just wish the boxes were bigger, as there weren’t many treats overall. Casper and I say 7/10 paws–paws were deducted due to the small size of the boxes.

Item #4: West Paw Design Snowman Plush Squeaker Toy. This toy was epic. Very soft and plush, and a great shape that Casper loves carrying around everywhere he goes. He even uses it as a pillow. However, this toy in no way resembles a snowman any longer. The little buttons and eyes were gone in the first ten minutes. I removed the little blue scarf that was around the toy’s neck…seemed a little unsafe. Casper demands I give this toy 10/10 paws.

Item #5: $10 Coupon Code to Wag.com.  Some folks might not get any use out of this one if they don’t shop on Wag.com or plan to, but I get food for my cats from this site, and it just happened to be time for me to put in another order, so this coupon was greatly appreciated! However, I’m on the fence about wanting there to be one more item for Casper in this box, rather than this coupon code.  I’m filling in for Casper on this one: 7/10 paws.

Both humans and pooch were quite happy with this box. The high-quality goodies and high-quality toys were all a big hit. However, I can’t help but wish there was just ONE more item in the box…

There you have it! Petflow’s Spoiled Rotten Box and Barkbox…unboxed. Were they worth the money? We’ll break down the pros and cons and let you know on Wednesday!

Today, we’re gonna dive into the goodies that came in our February Petflow “Spoiled Rotten” box.  Tomorrow, we’ll tell you all about our February Barkbox.

While this will be a straightforward scale-of-one-to-ten rating of each the goodies in these boxes, the real winner here is Casper, who has been enjoying the toys and treats from these two boxes nonstop. Fat. Happy. Spoiled.

Petflow “Spoiled Rotten” Box:

Cost: $24.99/ month for $40 worth of products

Cool things about this box: All the edible products in Petflow’s boxes are made in the USA. If you have a cat, you can also get a box just for cats!

Number of items in the box: 8

Item #1: Luther’s Treats. Dog biscuits made with oats and oat flour, lavender and chamomile. Casper enjoyed their crunchiness.  Casper says 8/10 paws.

Item #2: Clear Conscience Tender Beer & Cheddar Sliders. The treats look and smell like pieces of beef jerky. Full of beefy goodness. These treats need to be refrigerated after they’re opened (I found that out the hard way). Casper says 9/10 paws.

 Item #3: Ark Naturals BREATH-LESS Brushless Toothpaste Mini Dog Treats. I’ll save the detail of this product for a future review, but the makers claim these treats help keep your dog’s teeth clean. Casper says 7/10 paws.

Item #4: Bright Bits Medium Single (Spearmint Flavor). A larger, single treat that is also supposed to help keep poochie’s chompers clean. Not Casper’s favorite treat in the bunch, but still good enough for 6/10 paws.

Item #5: Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea Stew Canned Dog Food. The CEO of Nutrisca can be seen in a YouTube clip eating a can of this food for lunch. It’s possible that he enjoyed it more than Casper, who was quite “meh” about it. Casper gives it 4/10 paws.

Item #6: Silver Dog Charm Key Chain. It’s a keychain with some cute little doggie charms on it. Some folks might have a use for it, but this one totally felt like a filler item to me. Casper and I are giving this one 1/10 paws.

Item #7: Gimme Gummies. This is a bear-shaped, Kong-esque toy that you fill with treats. This product sets itself apart from the Kong thanks to the fact that you can bake treats right inside it (oven safe up to 450 degrees) or freeze it. Sounds cool. We haven’t used it yet. Casper isn’t a huge fan of digging treats out of toys, but we understand that other dogs love ‘em. Casper says 7/10 paws, based on its cool potential.

Item #8: Natural Balance Turkey Food Roll. In the past, I used these rolls as a grated food topper for Casper’s food. Initially, he’s psyched about having this roll grated up in his dinner–typically, he gets tired of the taste after about a week. Casper says 6/10 paws.

Overall, not a bad box. Lots of yummy eats that Casper thoroughly appreciated. We would have liked to see some sort of stuffed toy or maybe a bully stick to round out this box.

It was a typical Thursday afternoon, when a very nice lady noticed me outside her home. I had gotten lost in this great big world and ran into some trouble. She could see that another dog had tried to have an unfriendly discussion with me by the wounds on my neck. She called for help and I had the opportunity to arrive at this facility via a super shiny red and white ambulance. Once I arrived here, I was given love and care, and plenty of attention by the hospital staff who tended to my every need!

Now that I am starting to feel better, I am looking forward to finding a new home with a loving family. I am pretty easygoing on my needs: delicious food, fresh water, toys (love those chew toys!), and some room to spread out in. As no information on my training was available when I came into the shelter, we will have to discover together about my training – leash, house, and crate.

Remember that my breed does well bonded to their humans. The more time we get to spend with our family members, the more loving we become!

Chico is a sweet, older pooch, but he isn’t ready to retire just yet! This young at heart fella has lots of spring in his step. He loves to go on walks, and would love it if you were to play some training games with him that teach him to use his active little nose! He is a relaxed couch potato inside but a active hunter when out and about and would make an equally great companion for a family that is home frequently and wants to get out and about with this sweet guy or for a retired couple looking to show a little love to a belly rub loving pooch. He is calm and well mannered when meeting other dogs so he could be a wise older friend to a young rapscallion or a doting companion to another senior dog.

6. Isoniazid
Often the first line of defense against tuberculosis, isoniazid is particularly toxic for dogs because they don’t metabolize it as well as other species. It can cause a rapid onset of severe seizures that may ultimately result in death.
7. Pseudoephedrine
Pseudoephedrine is a popular decongestant in many cold and sinus products, and acts like a stimulant if accidentally ingested by pets. In cats and dogs, it causes elevated heart rates, blood pressure and body temperature as well as seizures.
8. Anti-diabetics
Many oral diabetes treatments—including glipizide and glyburide—can cause a major drop in blood sugar levels of affected pets. Clinical signs of ingestion include disorientation, lack of coordination and seizures.
9. Vitamin D derivatives
Even small exposures to Vitamin D analogues like calcipotriene and calcitriol can cause life-threatening spikes in blood calcium levels in pets. Clinical signs of exposure—including vomiting, loss of appetite, increased urination and thirst due to kidney failure—often don’t occur for more than 24 hours after ingestion.
10. Baclofen
Baclofen is a muscle relaxant that can impair the central nervous systems of cats and dogs. Some symptoms of ingestion include significant depression, disorientation, vocalization, seizures and coma, which can lead to death.

Sometimes Casper will give Beau a little growl when Beau is too close to Casper’s food, or if Beau is trying to sleep on a human who Casper has already claimed for his midday nap.  Of course Beau, the gentle giant of the house, just slinks away without protest (don’t worry, we don’t let Casper get away with being a butthead).

2. Place the litter box(es) in a room that you can gate off in some way so that your cat has access but your dog does not. You can use a cat door or a baby gate that the cat can climb over or under but your dog can’t. You can use an accordion-style gate that has openings large enough for your cat but not your dog.

3. Use a hooded litter box so that your dog can’t get his head into the box. Be aware, however, that some cats dislike hooded boxes and will refuse to use them.

4. Place booby traps near or in the litter box(es) that startle your dog and keep him away. Empty soda cans positioned above the box so that your dog knocks them over, a motion-activated alarm and Snappy Trainers all work well. Be aware that you can only implement this procedure for specific periods of time when your dog has access but your cat is confined away from the box. Otherwise, you risk startling your cat and discouraging him from using the litter box.

5.There are also indoor dog containment systems available that activate a citronella collar whenever your dog approaches the system’s movable base, and you could place this base near the litter box.

6. Use a taste deterrent on your cat’s feces, such as finely ground black pepper, crushed hot pepper, Tabasco® sauce, or Grannick’s Bitter Apple® spray or gel. You must apply the deterrent consistently to the feces for a significant period of time so that he comes to expect that all cat feces taste horrible. You may need to use the deterrent weeks or even months, depending on the length of time the coprophagia has been going on. For this treatment to be most effective, you will need to restrict your dog’s access to water for 10 to 20 minutes after he has tasted the deterrent. Otherwise, he may just drink water to counteract its effect. Do NOT use any type of verbal warning or else your dog will learn that the cat litter box is fair game unless you’re watching him. 7. Try a deterrent that you can use remotely, such as a loud air horn or a citronella or air pressure remote-controlled collar. (If you use a collar, your dog should wear it in the context in which the coprophagia occurs for 10 to 14 days before you start using it. Your dog will get used to wearing the collar, and this will minimize the likelihood that he’ll associate the punishment with wearing it.) Position yourself where you can observe your dog from a distance or without being seen. Ideally, you want him to be unaware of your presence. The instant you see your dog place his head in the litter box, blast the air horn or activate the collar. If timed correctly, your dog will startle and leap away from the box. You’ll need to apply this deterrent every time your dog attempts to eat cat feces and persist until he shows clear avoidance of the box for several weeks.

8. If all else fails and you’re at your wit’s end, it might be time to call in a professional for some advice.

9. Do not rub your dog’s nose in feces. This procedure won’t fix the problem and might make your dog frightened of you.

10. Do not physically punish your dog for eating feces. Hitting him with a newspaper or spanking him probably won’t stop him from eating feces, and it might cause more serious problems, such as fear or aggression.

Charlee Bear treats look like little ho-hum brown discs–nothing special at all. To Casper, these treats are precious morsels that must be savored, one by one.

Despite his large size, Drake is pretty agile!

2. Greeting Behavior. Some dogs whine during greetings. This kind of vocalization is usually motivated by excitement and may be directed at dogs or people.

3. Seeking Attention. Some dogs whine in the presence of their owners in order to get attention, rewards or desired objects.

4. Anxiety. Some dogs whine in response to stressful situations. In this context, whining sometimes seems involuntarily.

5. Separation Anxiety. If your dog only whines just before you leave or during your absence, she may have separation anxiety. If this is the case, your dog will usually display at least one other symptom of the disorder prior to your departure or when left alone, such as pacing, panting, excessive drooling, destruction (especially around doors and windows), urinating or defecating indoors, depression or other signs of distress.

6. Injury or Medical Condition. Dogs often whine in response to pain or a painful condition. If you notice that your dog vocalizes frequently or has suddenly started to vocalize, it’s important to take her to the vet to rule out medical causes.

7. Appeasement Whining. Dogs can try to appease people or other dogs when they perceive a threat or aggression being directed at them. Appeasement behaviors include holding the ears back, tucking the tail, crouching or rolling over on the back, avoiding eye contact or turning the body sideways to the perceived threat. Appeasement whining is also a normal canine behavior. You may be able to reduce your dog’s appeasement whining by building her confidence. Try taking her to an obedience class that uses reward-based training techniques. You and your dog can also try trick-training classes or dog sports like agility, flyball and musical freestyle (a combination of heeling and tricks performed to music). Playing fun, interactive games with your dog, like tug and fetch, can increase your dog’s confidence. Avoid physical and verbal punishment. Avoid physical and verbal punishment. Intimidating your dog will only decrease her confidence level and may increase appeasement whining.

8. Whining During Greetings. If your dog whines when greeting people, you can divert her attention to her favorite toys. Simply telling your dog to be quiet during greetings usually isn’t effective because, unless you’ve taken specific steps to teach your dog what the word “Quiet” means, she won’t understand you. Additionally, most dogs whine when greeting people because they’re excited, and in an extremely aroused state, they may not have control over their behavior. Instead, use management procedures to help prevent your dog from becoming overly excited. For example, downplay greetings, keeping them short and simple. Avoid speaking in excited, loud tones, and keep your movements slow and calm.

9. Attention-Seeking Whining. If your dog uses whining behavior to seek attention, rewards or desired objects, you need to teach her that remaining quiet is a better strategy. Sometimes reducing attention-seeking whining may be difficult because owners may unwittingly reinforce the behavior. Realize that any eye contact, touching or talking to your dog—even if you’re scolding her—all constitute attention. Use dramatic body language such as turning away from your dog or folding your arms across your chest and completely ignore her to indicate to your dog that her attention-seeking whining won’t work.

10. Anxious Whining. Whining as a result of anxiety is difficult to eliminate unless the cause of anxiety is removed. Anxious whining is usually accompanied by other nervous behaviors, such as pacing, circling and licking. Many anxious dogs do not seem able to control their whining when under extreme stress.

Our old pooch Pom Pom was adept at finding the pills in every little delicious morsel I attempted to use as a disguise–nothing worse than finding spit-out pills around the house.

The Kudose pill concealer would have really come in handy.

What is it and how does it work?

The concept of this clever little gadget is pretty straightforward:

1. Whip up some yummy tasting liquid or oil-based treat ingredients (there are some recipes on the Kudose website) to put into one of the two included plastic containers (called “Katalysts”).

2. Put one of the little gelatin-based pill concealers (“Kapsules”) on the Kudose base, then stick your dog’s pill in the Kapsule (you can purchase smaller or larger Kapsules, depending on the size of your dog).

3. Fill the Kapsule with that yummy “treat goo” you made, then attach the top of the Kapsule.

4. Give the awesomely well-hidden-pill-that-now-smells-like-a-delicious-treat to your pooch.

Does it work?

On the Kudose website, I found a recipe consisting of sunflower oil, peanut butter and this berry supplement for dogs that I just happened to have and was very excited to finally use because it had just been collecting dust in my “Dog Stuff” cabinet.

I actually had fun filling the little Kapsules once I got the hang of it–admittedly, I squeezed the Katalyst a little too hard the first time I tried to do a Kapsule-fill, so there was a little bit of a mess to clean up (luckily the Kudose is easy to take apart and clean once you’re all done with your pill fillin’ session).

My dog Casper immediately snatched the treat out of my hand, but was a little perplexed by the capsule at first. He soon figured out that it was OK to bite into it, then ate it right up.

Areas of Improvement:

–The instruction manual actually makes the Kudose feel a bit more complicated to use than it actually is–there was an overwhelming amount of information when I first opened up the package and starting looking through the manual. It would be kind of nice to have a few little instruction booklets separated by theme–something like: How to Use, Safety Information, and maybe even a booklet with a few sample recipes.

–The Kudose comes with two different nozzles: “Nozzle A” (for use with thicker treat ingredients) and “Nozzle B” (used for oil and liquid-based treat ingredients. Unfortunately, the nozzles are not labeled, so it took a bit of time to figure out which was which (Nozzle B has a little oil-drop picture on it). Would be great if these nozzles were labeled more clearly.

–The Kudose base easily comes apart and was a cinch to clean. However, when I reattached the rubber base, it didn’t stay on as snug as it did before I removed it.

The Best Things About This Product:

–It’s pretty easy to make tasty “treat goo” for your pooch to eat with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

–Ideal for pet owners that are constantly having to find new and creative ways to hide their pet’s pills.

–Easy to use.

–Worth the investment if you have to give your dog medication regularly. Constantly having to buy Pill Pockets or other pill concealers adds up. The Kudose retails for $49.95 and the Kudose Plus, which comes with a very handy pill crusher/pill cutter, goes for $79.95.

–The leftover treat ingredients can be refrigerated and used as a treat topper (I put my creation on top of Casper’s kibble last night and this morning and he absolutely loved it).

The Verdict:

The Kudose would be a nice addition to any pet household where giving pills is a daily battle between pooch and human. Making the treat ingredients and dispensing them into the Kapsules is pretty fun. It’s also quite satisfying to watch your dog gobble up your creation. I recommend watching this Youtube clip for a walkthrough of how the Kudose works:

This animated and spunky 4-year-old loves squeaky toys more than anything and will drop his favorite toy in a friendly lap with the hopes of enticing them to play. This playful pooch will need daily walks and perhaps some playtime at the park in order to burn his energy.

Sparky is already housetrained and will “sit” on command for a treat. He makes a wonderful cuddle buddy on a lazy day and even with a missing leg he still manages to leap onto the couch to join you for movie night.

Callie is extremely intelligent, very energetic, outgoing, and can learn anything. Currently working on Sit, Down, Stay, & Shake. * She is very affectionate, loves to snuggle, and she gives lots of kisses.

* Callie is house trained, permits almost anything when it comes to handling her, and rides well in the car. Areas where Callie still needs some work: jumping up and nice leash walking (however, she does well on a head halter). Her foster parents are currently helping her learn to be less demanding of their attention (she thinks she is the center of the universe).

Callie’s Ideal Home: Dogs: Only dog in the home (an exception may be made for owners with experience in slow introductions if they have a very well behaved dog who is skilled socially).
