Tuesday’s Adoptable Dog: Pepper From Arizona Humane Society!

Their sweet expression is what attracts people to the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon but their inner gentleness and sensitivity is what sells owners on the breed.Bred to be a loving family dog and a versatile pointer this over-active breed is a natural when it comes to pointing out and retrieving birds from fridge waters.

Pepper has much to learn about her heritage and being skilled in field tracking but she does love to chase birds! She will need to work on her retrieving skills however- she begs for you to throw a toy across the yard but after the toy is in her grasp, she plays “keep away” and wants to be chased around the yard.

This flashy, happy-go-lucky 11-month-old has a reputation of being active and energetic but she is also eager to please but can be stubborn and independent. Sometimes the bird in the bushes is more intriguing. Pepper can’t stand to be excluded from activities and her total worship may unnerve some people. The right person will adore her attentive, silly and enthusiastic personality as well as her eagerness to play.

A wise owner will put her boundless energy to good use with daily walks (she is already leash trained), playtime in the yard and plenty of stuffed squeaky toys so she doesn’t get into mischief. Pepper is available NOW at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is $110 and includes her spay surgery and vaccines. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 1045 and ask for Pepper… animal ID number A423520

I’d like it if they were on my doorstep.
